Spacious Room with Jetted - Bear Manor #4

I’ve stayed at hotels & apt rentals all over the world. This place was horrible. Worst place in 20 yrs of traveling. Communication with the manager was nonexistent. My questions before heading there were left unanswered and problems I had at the cabin once there were not answered until I hunted down a person who worked at the property and I demanded he call the manager, Adrian. This was the only time he addressed my needs. The hot tub was dirty. The fireplace filled the room with smoke (flue WAS open) and there was NO carbon monoxide detector and no fire alarm. (He said they just passed the fire marshal inspection the week before. Right.) The windows were broken and leaking air. There were no coffee cups, no forks, one spoon. He asked me (on New Years Eve and bad weather!!) to buy my own coffee mugs that he’d reimburse me for. No hangers. Sheets crumpled and pillow cases too small so the pillows weren’t completely covered and that was gross to sleep on pillows not washed. There was a bag of something stuck inside the bathroom cabinet by something. I wasn’t going to wash it. There was no shampoo, only two bottle of conditioner (although one was marked shampoo). No shower soap. No bath mat. No hand towels. No wash clothes. Two (nice fluffy) bath towels were provided. They charge 25 if you don’t wash the dishes but they provided no sponge or dish towels. The sink, 10 feet from the bed, dripped all night. Hot plate but no pans to cook with. 100% inacceptable and UNSAFE.

Everything was as advertised. It was clean, comfortable and host responded promptly with any questions I had. We were very pleased with our stay. And having the personal carport was an added plus

Stains on sheets, blood stains on pillows, algae and mold in spa jets, missing fire alarm, no carbon monoxide detector, missing outlet plates on plugs with exposed wiring, nails sticking out of the walls inside the cabin, soot stains all over the inside of the cabin going across the whole room, hairs on the towels and pillow cases, stains in the sinks, shower, and tub, missing pieces of awnings over most of the other cabins, torn chain linked fencing with trash and debris, used old water heater underneath the cabin next to us, missing hair dryer, missing cleaning supplies with the expectation that we needed to clean up after ourselves or incur cleaning fees... This place is a complete dump. I asked for a refund and was told I would only get 30% back. While I stayed there, I sent photos of some of the concerns I had, but the host never offered to resolve any of the issues. The Wi-Fi never worked while we were there. Only stay here if you have had your shots.

The place was fine. Definitely dated and old. Although the Management was terrific, very responsive. The sheets had a shoe print and looked dirty although when requested to have the bedding replaced the Management was extremely accommodating and helpful! The price of the room was in line with the quality. It’s not a bad place and again management was very helpful and courteous.

Cozy and simple for a weekend trip! Highly recommend
