Lake-View Lodge Cabin #4 ( 2 BR Near The Village)

If you want a nice place for your family this is not it. Positive: Location is close to Village This is a good last minute no other option place to stay. Negative: Communication with staff if there is an issue is non existent. Restroom light would not work the first night. We tried to use the coffee pot and it would not turn on we reset the outlet where the coffee pot was plugged in and the restroom light came on 😐 curtains are badly frayed hot tub does not work at all there are screens missing off the restroom and bedroom windows it is not elderly friendly. We brought my mom and there are 43 metal stairs to climb to get to room. No fire detector in one of the rooms but the mount is there. Very Bad this is all in unit 4

Pretty good it was pretty good because I booked at the last minute for Fourth of July and at least it wasn’t $1000 Positive: It was ok Negative: The steps look like a BBQ grill

Positive: Nothing it was horrible!

The cabin had a lot of broken components, cabinets, lights, smoke alarms, toilet paper holder, shower curtains missing. But a "maintenance" person came and loudly let himself into the house while we were in bed at 8:45 at night! There was no notification and when he knocked we didn't answer (we were sleeping and didn't know it was our door) and he put in a code and came right in! This tells me that the code is not changed and they have no concern for safety of people staying there. We let the manager know and they didn't care. We were so disturbed we didn't sleep. This is unacceptable and unsafe.

If you need an economically priced place to stay in Big Bear look no further. It is no exaggeration to say this place is in walking distance to the Village. Each night we walked, with 2 grandchildren in tow, to the Village it is that close. Having compared other places we decided on this cabin because of its price. My wife and I travel a lot and we always say the room is just for sleeping so we don’t look for luxury. This small group of cabins will do the trick if you are going to be out doing something which I suspect most people going to BB are. Comfortable beds, a little kitchenette, clean bathroom and parking. If you need a good place at a good price you found it.
