Lake-View Lodge Cabin #4 ( 2 BR Near The Village)

The cabin had a lot of broken components, cabinets, lights, smoke alarms, toilet paper holder, shower curtains missing. But a "maintenance" person came and loudly let himself into the house while we were in bed at 8:45 at night! There was no notification and when he knocked we didn't answer (we were sleeping and didn't know it was our door) and he put in a code and came right in! This tells me that the code is not changed and they have no concern for safety of people staying there. We let the manager know and they didn't care. We were so disturbed we didn't sleep. This is unacceptable and unsafe.

If you need an economically priced place to stay in Big Bear look no further. It is no exaggeration to say this place is in walking distance to the Village. Each night we walked, with 2 grandchildren in tow, to the Village it is that close. Having compared other places we decided on this cabin because of its price. My wife and I travel a lot and we always say the room is just for sleeping so we don’t look for luxury. This small group of cabins will do the trick if you are going to be out doing something which I suspect most people going to BB are. Comfortable beds, a little kitchenette, clean bathroom and parking. If you need a good place at a good price you found it.

If I can give 0 star, I would!!!! Upon checking in the second room with a jacuzzi was flooded, it turned out the cleaning crew left the faucet on and broken. I immediately emailed the property manager about the situation and his response was "did you leave water running?" Uhm what part of we just checked in did he not get?! We had to clean the floor because we know if we leave the water it will be ruin. Unfortunately, the handyman couldnt fix the issue the next day. It was whatever but then that very same day after we came back from tubing around 5pm we went back in the cabin and the heater was out, mind you it was 20°f and I have my 3 y/o and 16 y/o with us. I emailed the property manager again to let him know. He didnt get back to us until the next day, which was our checked out day. We slept in a 20 degree weather without a heater, my children had to wear 3 layer of clothing just to get through the night. We left as soon as the sun was out. The manager finally responded at 9am telling us he will only be refunding $180 due to the jacuzzi being broken. It is extremely horrible and they should not be advertising their cabin if its not in a decent condition and the fact that the manager being unresponsive is so unacceptable. Additionally, the floor was so dirty and sticky! The power cable for the tv was hanging which is very unsafe and then then there's no fire detector in the bedrooms. Everything about this cabin is horrible. Save your money and rent somewhere else.
