Cozy Lake-View Lodge #8 (1 BR near The Village)

I expected a simple, warm, and clean one bedroom unit to rest for the evening for an affordable price. What I found was a run-down, cold, and uncomfortable shack for 3x the listed price. There was no smoke detectors, no central heating, and no hot water. Even the toilet paper was half-ply. The futon and chairs had large stains and there were no extra blankets provided for additional guests or sheets for the futon. For the same price, you can stay at the luxury hotel down the street which has everything this unit does not have, plus a fire place. The only nice things I have to say is that the location is great and the check-in process easy (except for the broken Google drive link provided for the check in information) but both can also be said about any of the hotels on the same block. I will not be staying here again, and recommend no one should if they don’t want hypothermia in the winter.

Very small 1 bedroom. Sleeper sofa in living area uncomfortable not suitable for longer than a night. The description said kitchen but this was a sink with an electric 2 burner on counter space and a mini fridge. The location is excellent, view and walk to village. We made the best of it.

My husband and I stayed and found it to fit us just fine. We needed quick and close to town lodging and this fit the bill :) The host Adrian was very helpful and timely in response to questions. We would stay again. :)

Our stay here was wonderful! We stayed to snowboard mainly, as we visit Big Bear quite often each winter season, and it was a great location close enough to both Summit and Big Bear mountains. Having the option to walk an easy 10 minutes to the village was definitely a plus and extremely convenient so we didn't have to worry about traffic or parking during the busy weekend. Read the previous reviews before booking and it's true that the curtains are very sheer, so we did as the previous reviewers suggested and put the extra blankets that were provided over the curtain rods to have more privacy. The only other thing I would recommend is to bring your own shower towels, as the ones provided were on the smaller side. Overall, highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!
